Correction Policy

Accuracy is our highest priority. Here's how we handle errors and corrections on MahaAdmission Medical.

Effective Date: 1 January 2025 ยท Last Updated: 15 July 2026

Our Commitment to Accuracy

MahaAdmission Medical provides counselling data that students rely on for life-changing decisions. We take this responsibility seriously. Despite our rigorous verification pipeline, errors can occur โ€” source documents may contain typographical mistakes, parsing anomalies may go undetected, or official data may be revised after our initial publication.

When errors are identified, we treat them as critical issues and prioritise rapid correction. This policy outlines how to report errors, what happens after you report one, and the timelines we commit to.

How to Report an Error

If you notice incorrect, outdated, or misleading information on MahaAdmission Medical, please report it using one of the following methods:

โœ‰๏ธ Email (Preferred)

Send a detailed report to corrections@mahaadmission.in

Please include: the page URL where the error appears, a description of the incorrect information, the correct information (if known), and a reference to the official source document (if available).

๐Ÿ“‹ On-Page Reporting

Where available, data pages include a "Report an error" link at the bottom. Clicking this opens a pre-filled email with the page URL included, making it easier to report the issue.

What to Include in Your Report

The more detail you provide, the faster we can investigate and resolve the issue. A helpful error report includes:

  • Page URLThe full URL of the page containing the error.
  • Error DescriptionWhat information is incorrect? (e.g., "The closing rank for College X under OBC category in Round 2 shows 45,000 but the MCC result PDF shows 48,230.")
  • Correct InformationIf you know the correct data, please share it.
  • Official SourceA link to or name of the official document that contains the correct information.
  • Your ContactAn email address where we can reach you if we need clarification (optional).

What Happens After You Report an Error

Every correction request follows a defined process:

0โ€“12 hrs

Acknowledgement

We acknowledge receipt of your report via email. If the error is time-critical (e.g., relates to an ongoing counselling round), we escalate it immediately.

12โ€“24 hrs

Investigation

Our data team locates the source document and verifies whether the reported information is indeed incorrect. We cross-reference against our archived copy and the live official website.

24โ€“48 hrs

Correction or Response

If the error is confirmed, we publish the corrected data with a visible correction notice. If the reported data turns out to be accurate, we respond to the reporter with our findings and the source reference.

Ongoing

Root-Cause Analysis

For systematic errors (e.g., a parsing rule that misread a column), we investigate the root cause and update our extraction pipeline to prevent recurrence.

Correction Notices

When a correction is published, we add a visible notice to the affected page that includes:

  • The date and time of the correction
  • A brief description of what was changed
  • The source document used for the corrected data
  • The original (incorrect) value, for transparency

Correction notices remain visible on the page permanently. We do not silently edit published data โ€” every change is documented.
