Document Checklist for NEET UG Counselling

Keep these documents ready before you start your counselling registration. Requirements may vary slightly by state and authority.

Identity & Domicile

  • Aadhaar Card (or any govt-issued ID)
  • Domicile / Bonafide Certificate (state quota)
  • Birth Certificate (if needed)
  • Passport-size photographs (recent)

Educational Documents

  • Class 10 Marksheet & Passing Certificate
  • Class 12 Marksheet & Passing Certificate
  • NEET UG Admit Card
  • NEET UG Scorecard / Rank Letter
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) from last school
  • Migration Certificate (if applicable)

Category Certificates

  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) – issued by competent authority
  • OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (valid for current year)
  • EWS Certificate (valid for current year)
  • PwD Certificate (minimum 40% disability)

Special Categories

  • NRI / OCI / PIO Certificate (for NRI quota)
  • Minority Community Certificate
  • Defence / Ex-Servicemen Certificate
  • Kashmir Migrant Certificate

Important Notes

  • Always carry originals + at least 3 sets of self-attested photocopies.
  • Requirements vary by counselling authority (MCC, state, AYUSH, etc.).
  • OBC certificate must be Non-Creamy Layer and valid for the current financial year.
  • EWS certificate must be issued by a competent authority for the current year.
  • PwD certificate must specify the percentage of disability (min 40%).
