Complete guide to Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counselling for All India Quota seats.

What is MCC Counselling?

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is the nodal agency under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. MCC conducts online counselling for:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical/dental colleges
  • Deemed/Central University medical/dental colleges
  • ESIC medical colleges
  • AIIMS and JIPMER (as applicable)
  • Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) seats

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have qualified NEET UG examination
  • Must have secured the minimum required percentile as per category
  • Must be an Indian citizen / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
  • Must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of admission year
  • Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English

MCC Counselling Rounds

Round 1

First round of seat allotment. Candidates can choose to participate, free exit allowed.

Round 2

Second round for remaining vacant seats. Participants from Round 1 may upgrade.

Mop-Up Round

For seats remaining vacant after Round 2. Open to all eligible candidates.

Stray Vacancy Round

For any remaining vacant seats. Conducted at college level.
